Koh Samui is host to many popular attractions and activities and Samui Summit Estate is very close to most of them. There is a lot more to Samui than Sand, Sun and Sea. The Big Budda, located on the north of the island is in all the guide books of Samui and is a feature view from the terraces of the Hilltop Villas at Samui Summit Estate. Chaweng is the bustling and most developed resort area renowned for its shopping, beach and nightlife. You may wish to visit Koh Pha Ngan Island for a bohemian flavor, or Koh Tao Island for it’s fantastic reefs and diving, or for a real unspoiled paradise, take a day trip to the spectacular Ang Thong National Park.

Spa
Thai massage is a complex art that has been passed down through generations. The techniques are still taught by Buddhist monks at the main school inside Wat Po in Bangkok. There are countless spas in Samui.

Buddhist Temples
Samui’s temples offer some of the best sight seeing and photographic opportunities on the island. The ‘wat’ is an integral part of Thai life, and as well as being the location for religious ceremonies and worship, these ornate locations also host meetings of the local council and often act as a venue for fun fairs and concerts.

Golf
Santiburi Samui Country Club is Koh Samui’s Championship golf course. Each hole on the Santiburi course sits at a different elevation, and the fairways follow the natural line of the hills creating an interesting and challenging multi level golf game.

Night Life
Bars and night clubs can be found at all of the island’s main beach areas, and it is in Chaweng and Lamai, where the parties linger on long into the early hours.

Shopping
There are three major areas to shop in Koh Samui; these are Nathon market, Chaweng market and Lamai market. Many retail goods from all over Thailand are available to make sure that you enjoy great shopping on Samui. Thai silks and handicrafts are just two examples of Thai goods, which have become internationally famous.

Activities & Sports
Apart from diving, snorkeling and fishing in the waters around Samui, there is also sailing and several other water sports available for those who like to be active.
